These new indices are of some interest but they would likely face some limitations in applicability by subject, as e.g. in mathematics the author order is virtually always alphabetical, i.e., being the first author does not carry any extra prestige (and neither does being a corresponding author).
I'd like to propose a triangular frame of numbers which should prevent any eventual political power to overcome the effective scientific contribution and maturity of a researcher. Decades ago also in my department the alphabetical order was applied... Besides any kind of personal controversy, I do believe that the employment of alphabetical order, when it is not accompanied by a clear identification of the two above roles, is a real tragedy for the whole scientific community.
