The term "deglobalization" has become widespread both in everyday language and in the scientific community. At the same time, as a rule, few people pay attention to the fact that in this case we are talking essentially about the development of globalization in reverse, i.e. in the opposite direction. But how is this possible if globalization is, first of all, an objectively historical process?
I see this differently. To me this is about people exchanging, ideas, goods and services. People and the millions of way our human nature is shared as well as specific to ourselves. Objectivity and the logic of the process is unrelated to how we each think and feel about giving and or trading with one another. Logic may not matter as much as the relationship we build, or in many cases use trade to build a future relaionship with friends and foe. (You might be surprised that globalization & de-globalization are merely how we respond to how we want others to see us) - In addition, often we exchange conversation with one another. It too represents a form of trade. We trade an. un-stated hope with each other. A hope, that because we've talked face to face in the past, we can talk in the future about more substantial exchanges. Or a hope it helps de-escalate "uncomfortable" events.
More evident in the past than today, differences in language made exchanges very difficult. I can't see how we were satisfied with an exchange without resorting to visual communication, that is, marks, line and symbols that we agreed mean something. Both then and today a basic part is we're both satisfied. You receive something that hard for you to get and I the same. Being satisfied often defies objectivity and logic. Also a logical analysis tends to favor exchanges of the same thing more than differences. - - For example, I want trade corn for potatoes. How is logic and/or objectivity going to account for how much I want or need them?? What does fairness, objectivity and/or logic have to do with how desperate I might be to obtain food or shoes for my family ?? Or, what does it have to do with how the person with the food and shoes consider a fair exchange???? A more interesting question, how does logic account for me giving much more away in trade because I don't like how you talk, or something your village did 70 years ago - or much worse, the myths about nations and cultures we unconsciously believe....
