Canine influenza viruses (CIV) are contagious respiratory diseases found in dogs. These Type A influenza viruses and the H3N2 (canine and human) virus is known to infect dogs, cats and people. There is a concern that the disease can mutate with dogs being the ”mixing bowl” and potentially produce a pandemic.
