We have noticed an almost epidemic of low blood 25 OH Vitamin D3 levels in patients that have been tested. We have also noted much lower levels of Vitamin D3 in patients with positive Lactulose Breath Tests (suggesting SIBO, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth).

Patients in whom the SIBO is not treated do not respond to Vitamin D3 supplementation, whereas those treated for SIBO respond to the Vitamin D3 supplementation.

Comments and experience on these lines are welcome. Thank you.
