However, Valeriana jatamansi Jones (http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/kew-2905967) is an accepted name and it is not a synonym of Nardostachys jatamansi (D.Don) DC. (http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/kew-2382349) which it self is an accepted name.
Kindly analyse the situation and explain if Valeriana wallichii DC. a synonym of Nardostachys jatamansi (D.Don) Dc. or not.

Valeriana wallichii DC. is synonym of Valeriana jatamansi Jones
Nardostachys jatamansi (D.Don) DC. is a different plant.
You might have confused with Valeriana jatamansi described by some other author's which are Valeriana jatamansi D.Don and Valeriana jatamansi Jones ex Roxb. but these two are illegitimate names and Valeriana jatamansi Jones is accepted based on priority.
However the Valeriana jatamansi described by D.Don in 1821 is synonym of Nardostachys jatamansi (D.Don) DC.
