Bahtilla is correct. That is one aspect - article quality. For any researcher (but most likely to be neophyte researchers) quantity over quality is not a good idea. There is a mistaken belief that quantity impresses - but that is not always the case. If researchers are publishing 'anything, anywhere' - then it could actually be damaging to reputation. Better a single, quality article in an established, reputable journal than several in others. It is far more likely to be read, cited and impact practice. That is what employers are really looking for - rather than numbers of publications.
If the papers are original in content and value coupled with the ability to shift the frontier of knowledge forward. Also, they are published with highly reputable outlets. There is no limitations for a young researcher.
Unless the adverse effect comes in the area of lost time and finance for other personal expectations, otherwise research will always be a 'continuous' learning process however good or poor the output is.
It will depend mainly on the quality of your publications. It will be necessary to find a balance between Quantity and Quality, it will be easier with experience and academic career (snowball phenomenon). Good luck.
At first, I want to say thank you Assistant Professor Dr. Mabrouk Boutagouga, for this type of questions.
I'd say, yes, sometimes it could be harmful and destroying, when its turn to be like competition just for increasing the number of the publications, without paying attention to the quality of the publications.
Nowadays, very few researchers went beyond, because they have no values and morals, if their major just about Public Law, as for example, but like a miracle, you will find their names on publications of Geography or Music, and the reason as you mentioned to have many publications in their names.
