There have been many instances when I was told about medical research specialities that focus on clinical research (ie speciality in clinical research for doctors without any other qualifications (surgical/medical/onco etc))
Does such a thing exist? I would be happy if anyone can share with me more details about this.

There is a clinical research diploma that you can pursue; however, a specialty standing by itself as community medicine or surgery or pediatrics, then I doubt it !
Clinical research is not a specialty, but a development/advancement approach for a/any specialty involving humans. The given specialty may be medical or not, however is health-related.
