I work on freshwater crustaceans that are restricted to small, non-permanent freshwater habitats. As they reproduce via resting eggs and because the habitat dries out in-between subsequent generations, all generations are clearly separated from each other without overlap. I want to compare the genetic composition of two subsequent generations of a single species within a single habitat to assess how the presence of haplotypes and their relative occurrence changes among subsequent generations.

I am looking for studies that looked for genetic differences among subsequent generations in other species. I employ sequence data of a mitochondrial marker (COI), but I am also looking for studies using other types of data.
