I have sent my paper in a ugc recognised journal and it was accepted. I was told to pay for publication charges which i did though net banking and mailed the detail to the journal publisher along with sending copyright and declaration form. But i did not get any return mail and to my surprise today i have checked their website and saw that current publication is out but i did not find my paper. I mailed them several times but i did not get any reply.
I am really sad and angry that i paid my hard earned money towards publication charges and even send them filled in copyright and transfer form.
I want to complain about this nasty publisher but in India whom to complain i am clueless.
Since i have mailed them copyright form and transfer right of my paper so can i publish my paper somewhere else?
I there any way to get back the money that i paid? If any one has any idea please help.
First you trace bank street and you can suit police complaint.
You may also try to contact COPE - Committee on Publication Ethics (https://publicationethics.org/). Probably they were confronted with similar cases and may have a suggestion.
