I'm developing a tool to simulate thermal power plants and thermal cycles and I would like to know about any software to use as front end. This software must give me the inputs and connections (pre-processing) and read my outputs (post-processing).

I have been writing software for power plants since 1974 and I have no idea what you're asking. I wrote the first thermodynamic cycle modeling software to run on a microcomputer. I have analyzed countless plants all over the world. If you can help me understand your question, I can probably do something for you on this.
Are you familiar with GateCycle, PEPSE, EBSILON, Cycle Tempo, Thermoflow, Thermoflex, GT Pro, GT Master, Syntha?

There is a simple method to simulate a complete industrial process.
You follow all the elements C H O N ... and the components : you apply mass conservation.
At the node you calculate enthalpy : you need T and P.
You apply enthalpy flow conservation.
Of course some informations are missing : they can be the solution you need, or energy exchanged ...
It is possible to simullate with EXCEL and VBA.

For your best comprehension, my need is not a complete program for thermodynamic and economic simulation of plants, but to understand if there is any software that provides a graphical interface to integrate the results generated by my code. This kind of software is most common in structural engineering and it is known as pre and post-processing, for example GiD and SALOME.
Developing a graphical interface is a completely different issue. I have developed many interfaces, see for example CyclePro at the link above.
