Is there any standard protocol for preparing procalcitonin (PCT)-free human serum?

I would like to know how prepare a human serum sample, which is devoid of procalcitonin (PCT). For method comparison study, I need to to prepare PCT-free serum sample. Kindly share your thoughts. Thank you.
