Somebody proved that the ACL is a C shape through a cadaver study. But it is not correct. I have to disprove that it is not either through staining or through any other technique. Please help me.
Which technique have they utilized (probably at the ihsertion site): Arthroscopic or MRI or..?! Is there any documentation that made you believe it is not correct?
They just removed the ACL portion from formalin fixed cadaver and they claimed it is C shaped . But I am searching for a technique to disprove it using live fresh human samples.
A very recent anatomical work confirms the shape of the ACL./ This work is submitted not yet published. It has been done on fresh specimens and confirms the "C" shaped attach on the tibia and a coma shaped attach on the femur. If you want check this result, just harvest fresh ACL after carefull removal of the synovial, stain it and study the structure.
This is the first paper published on this topic, We consider the result published is still confirmed. As a consequence the ACL appears to be much fragile that currently admitted working mainly as a sensor than as a strong stabilizer.
