Is there any specific reason Iron or Ferrous deficiency is most common in deep black Cotton soils compare to other soils?

Recently in research reports are revealed that iron deficiency is most common in black Cotton soils. Here I want to know that what might be the possible reasons for Iron deficiency.

Yes, soil pH mostly around mre than 7.5 plus presence of active calcium carbonate , mostly non-pedogenic in nature and exchangeable Mg as well
