I am trying to measure dielectric constant and loss of a thin film polymer (PVDF-HFP). Usually I am using Gold, which is sputtered on my samples as electrodes. Today I accidentally coat my sample films using Silver and would like to know if there are any significant difference between the two electrodes.
As long as the silver film does not get oxidised, or provides poor adhesion, or reacts with your polymer, I think you should not have any problem for dielectric constant measurements as a func;tion of frequency upto 1 MHz.

Provided the Ag layer is thick enough (~10-20nm or more) and the polymer is pinhole-free, it should not matter much.
Care must be taken for thinner layers, since silver tends to grow as island-like structures more than gold.
Silver is also more reactive and especially in humid enviroment silver ions can slowly migrate through the polymer.
You can also try Aluminum it is great for PVDF polymers, in the other hand I do recommend thicker layers 100 nm or greater.
For gold Au you need an adhesion layer between PVDF and Au electrode
