I am in the middle on my thesis where by i am using water balance equation to estimate the discharge on the river basin. One of the input is water storage change, but till now i have not figure out how can i obtain this dataset. I would realy appreciate if i could get the site for downloading those kind of data of if i could get the mathematical model which will lead me to get the change in water storage for the river basin.

You will need at least precipitation and runoff data. Also, water storage may depend on precipitation (usually snow stays long) and plant cover. The topic is interesting, but I do not think you may do this task having only satellite data. The plant cover index will hugely impact the water store ability of the basin. If there are glaciers, then water storage of the basin will be higher
GRACE (crude resolution), plant cover and glaciers have been mentioned, but don't forget to include groundwater because infiltration, changes in groundwater levels and baseflow can have a huge influence on stream output and overall basin storage.

In my dissertation, basin (and sub-watershed) water storage changes are estimated at an annual time scale, from the end of one dry/warm season to the end of the next dry/warm season (a 'water-year'), for each year over several decades. Water storage changes over these annual time periods are estimated by using the observed relationship of total volumetric streamflow for water-year 'y' to precipiation not only for that same water-year 'y', but also to precipitation for the two prior water-years 'y-1' and 'y-2'. The observed relationship of water-year total volumetric streamflow to precpitation from prior water-years is attributed to changes in watershed water-storage (mainly soil and ground water storage) between the ends of two consecutive water-years; the magnitude of these water storage changes is directly estimated using a simple linear mathematical model.

Go to USGS, Landsat imagery should be good for your research. Check the rate of changes in water cover overtime at 10 years interval. Atleast 10 years interval
