In the regard of adaptation, evolutionary process takes long time, and you are talking about adaptation in human (as you said fishers). For such kind of example i can suggest you that you can check the change in the schedule of livelihood of the fisher men in the coastal region, because they prefer more to go for fishing in night time apart form the evening and morning. But most important question is that which coast line... equator, tropical or else..?
