Can sink node or base station can be placed inside the field is there any problem?
If i want to keep base station or Sink in the middle of monitoring area , is it possible according to research standard or i should always keep it outside the field considering security features or out of reach access for SINK or BASE station.
Is it possible to keep it in middle of area using 3D deployment or in some Height above the monitoring area exactly in the middle.
I think it is up to you ! I mean keeping the sink inside or outside the monitoring area depends to your deployment strategy, to your topology and to the sink features.
Usually, almost all the research works keep the sink in outside, exactly in the corner or border of the monitoring area.
The place where you can o you can not deploy the Sink node depend on your application or installation requirement. If your network are in a hazardous environment maybe you could put your more valuable node far from from the danger.
But if you could collocate your node where you want, It is a good idea to collocate the Sink in the center of your topology, because you could reduce the amount of networks hops that a massage need to do to arrive to the Sink, a from that point to a data base, a data repository or to the final users. A reduction in the hops to be done could increase reliability and reduce the messages delay to arrive to the Sink, which it is usually a good idea.
There are no restrictions regarding base station placement, it depends on your application. The only common sense requirement is that the sink node be in range to receive incomming end-point messages.
