I have calculated the entropy generation field based on some experimental velocity fields, I wish to interpret my results to show that entropy generation is related to small scale mixing, but I don't know if they are really connected to each other or not!
What is your point from the "small scale mixing"? are you study a two phase flow?
No, i'm involve in water jet discharging into quiescent water. I mean by small scale mixing any entrainment of the surrounding water into the jet core by means of small scale structures
Your question is very interesting, however, challeging. But for incompressible flows such as water flows in normal conditions, you may not consider the entropy. So far as I know, none of any exact quantitatively definitions on the so-called small scale mixing has been proposed yet.
