Hi, you can try to do it by melting the shaped sample of your oxide in arc plasma.

Nb2O5 is a dense insoluble powder. It is rather chemically inert and therefore I think it is is not easy to reduce it to lower oxidation state at ambient conditions.

if I take your question literally, my answer is: no.

As Mohammad Kooti pointed out, Nb2O5 is not soluble in pure water.

But, what is more important. Why do you want to make this? What is the material you are heading for? And which oxidation state do you want to reach? What are your available means/methods to detect the resulting oxidation states?

Did you study the phase diagram of Nb and O? - This will help.

Axel Klein Thank you very much professor . i used Nb2O5 powder as a starting material and synthesized Niobium oxide(Nb2O5) composite with reduced graphene oxide using simple chemical method and obtained a XRD. the obtained XRD cannot explained with the literature as well. only one XRD matched but they were unable to explained it. I used ascorbic acid during synthesis and its not done under hard conditions. That's why i asked it is possibility to reduced Nb+5 to Nb+4 or Nb+3 under reducing agent.

I assume you have a powder XRD (P-XRD) plot in hands. Please be more precise in the expressions you are using (XRD can mean a lot of different things - thus, it not precise information).

Also, "the literature" will not help you. What you need is to compare your P-XRD with the pattern for relevant materials: r-GO, Nb2O5, and other NbxOy oxides. You find these patterns in the ICDD database.

Importantly, you will find only reflections from a crystalline material. So, if your Nb oxides are not crystalline, they will appear as broad bump in your P-XRD plot.

So, what do you observe? Do you observe r-GO?

By talking around the problem and saying what you do not see, you will not recieve precise answers.

I recommend you to do a reduction via CVD by a passing a reducing gas or vapor like H2 Co and/or H2S over your particles at certain temperature and time vacuum. You must take care in such experiments. You can try a small doses with a small power amount at first.
