I need to assess norepinephrine chronic effect and I am searching some synthetic NE which have long lasting effect so I can inject that only a few time in each day
Could you please help me find if this synthetic NE exist or not
I do not know about a stable synthetic norepinephrine but what you can use is a norepinephrine precursor instead (for example L-threo-DOPS). It has been used for in parkinsonian patients and it significantly increases the level of norepinephrine.
You may want to look at this study: Effect of a synthetic norepinephrine precursor, L-threo-3,4- dihydroxyphenylserine on the total norepinephrine concentration in the cerebrospinal fluid of parkinsonian patients http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2259448

sorry to be a bit more critical on the topic of L-threo-DOPS but I have some concerns about this option... The substance might certainly be a powerful treatment option for PD but nevertheless how can the experimenter exclude some unwanted side-effects of L-threo-DOPS on other pharmacological targets like numerous amino acid receptors or ion channels for example? Might be that there is already literature - I am not an expert on this substance but I just thought that the possibility of artefacts should be excluded - whatever your research is about.
Unfortunately I have no perfect alternative option but there might be also the possibility of continuous i.v. infusion of stabilized norepinephrine. That is the classical way how norepinephrine is applied in the clinical Setting.
