I found many indices measuring flowering synchrony among individuals of one species, but, I am looking for an indice that quantifies flowering synchrony among species. Thank you.
Depending on your data you might be able to use correlation coefficient to measure synchrony.
Another way was suggested to me many years ago by Mark Hill:
synchrony = (L-1)/(n-1) where L is the latent root of the first principal component and N n is the number of trees.

Take a look at some of Beverley Rathcke's papers on community phenology patterns from the 1980s/90s.
It's been some time since I thought seriously about it, but Augspurger's index should be modifiable to deal with different species rather than different individuals - I used it in the attached paper.
You could think in time as a resource and use a overlap index to estimate synchrony between species. The index range from 0 (no overlap) up to 1 (total overlap). The species are lines in your dataset and months are the columns, inside cells you can have the percentage of individual activity per month.
