After ACL reconstruction surgery (ACLR), the patients are reffered to the physiotherapists for rehabilitation. Some patients prefer individual therapy sessions, while the others go for group therapy. In the group therapy sessions (for example here in Hungary), male and female patients with similar conditions are treated together with group exercises with the similar protocols. My question is that should there be the same protocols for males and females of same age group and same conditions, or are there any evidence based recommendations that such males and females be treated differently?
