Is there any formula to predict a fractal antenna resonant frequency from the antenna parameters and the tree shape when there is no substrate used or the substrate occupies the whole antenna interior?
Would you be able to give me a little more detail regarding the type of fractal antenna? What fractal you are looking at, type of antenna and approximate frequency?
I have done some work on Planar Inverted F antennas using a Koch fractal. The use of the fractal in this instance is to increase the effective length of the antenna - and it can be used as a tuning method.
What type of antenna are you investigating? A meander line or an F-Type? Could you give me the application. Frequency and physical size would also be useful.
I have my thesis in PiFA and know i am trying to marry them with fractals for multiband use in aeronautics. I just experiment now. I didn't have a final solution for my purpose .
