I am willing to know if there are some works that build relationship between soil cohesion at field situation (at field capacity) to soil cohesion at saturation in different land uses (forest, rainfed and/or irrigated cultivation, pasture and/or rangelands etc.) and also with different soils.
In clay soils the amount of organic substances in soil aggregates can increase the cohesion of clay fractions also, the drying causes in sandy soils with some salts lead to enhance cohesion. Also the type of land use or the cultivated crop is a determining factor on the long term (Beans, Sugar Beet.. etc) which affect on the field irrigation management and soil salinity conditions.

Susmita , in addition to soil organic matter as expressed by El-Sharkawy, please also consider the soil microbial load as aa important parameters to inflict changes in soil aggregate stability , besides particle size distribution.
