Set up an apparatus where the beam of light goes right through the liquid you are dispersing the compound in. Keep a lux meter in front of the beam of light that is transmitting at the other end. Check the intensity of light if it is decreasing. Keep in mind to check for change in intensity of light without your compound as blank.
