More than 150 vaccines are under trial in different phases. But the hard reality is most of us may live without vaccine in this divided world. Unluckily, socioeconomic disparity is always in this unequal world and it will be prominent in getting vaccine too. UK, USA have already booked before they come into light and third world countries can't afford it even they have more than five million cases now.
See the headlines of BBC and CNN:
“Oxford vaccine triggers immune response in its trial against coronavirus and The UK has already ordered 100 million doses of the vaccine.”

US government and Pfizer reach deal to produce millions of Covid-19 vaccine doses
It’s not a question of when. It’s a question of if we will ever have a vaccine? I am not optimistic of there being a vaccine in less than a year. Anyone that has been in a biology research lab knows that the difficulty of this problem is not a 1 year problem. It could take anywhere from 3–5 years before solid vaccine candidates pan out for coronavirus that is not only safe, but highly effective in providing immunity against the coronavirus. I will be pessimistic in saying that there probably won’t be a vaccine for the coronavirus, and I am okay with accepting that reality.
My expectation is that we will see mass vaccination in about a year, while I expect my people will be the ones who receive it last as usual. We're not the hardest struck this time, so I am not complaining. The work done by medical corporations in India and Bangladesh is promising, and I applaud the decision by one Bangla corporation to provide vaccination for free to those who qualify.
Russia may have made the first vaccine. The reports are Russian propaganda published in a state controlled news outlet, Tass. The test group was 20 Russian soldiers not the thousands usually needed for human testing. CNN has a video report that was posted. The Russian source has not provided any details on this vaccine.
As of now, Astrazenca-Oxford University produced vaccine candidate has entered phase 3 of clinical trials. Studies have shown that it triggers an excellent immune response, with twice the number of antibodies being produced.
Moderna (US) has currently suspended its phase 3 trials, reason remain unknown. It might be due to the fact that phase 2 results weren't satisfactory.
Here in India, phase 1 trials of indigenously produced Covaxin were started, so still months to go before we hear any news on it.
Few days back, Russia's Sechenov Institute announced that their Vaccine is completely safe and complied with the current standards. Turns out the test was done on a mere 38 people. Hmmm…
