I would like to know if there is any bibliography about the uso of Powers Model in mortars. I am studying the use of recycled aggregates in mortars and concretes.
Powers himself used his model in mortars, e.g. see the correlation curve of space-gel ratio and strength of mortars in his paper:

You can find a more recent reference here, the application is the same as the original one by Powers but including superabsorbent polymers:

If you do a search with "gel/space ratio" on google scholar you will find a lot of other papers using concrete and mortars. There was quite intense work on this in the last years in a collaboration between the late Dr Chanvillard (Lafarge) and the group at Vienna (Prof. Pichler).
