The viscosity of the slurry is dependent not only on the amount of particles in the slurry but on the dispersant, dispersion, surface polarity (sometimes pH), particle size...... of the particles.  Only if all these are the same can the density be used to predict the viscosity.  Way to complicated and it makes much more sense to just measure viscosity.  If you want to measure the viscosity in process and continuously, I suggest the vibrating needle viscometer.

Mr. Andreas Hess  this is a semisoild and I hope so the inclined plane will not support as it will flow down due to mass gravity, Can we develop any simple method to mesaure the viscosity?

There are difficulties in measuring such systems that one needs to be consider, in particular separation of the liquid continuous phase from the discrete filler phase resulting in a  lubricating layer at the boundary - ie the rheometer wall. This lubricating layer will have a significant influence over the measured response. Also any "gap" sizes need to be large compared with the maximum particle size, eg the die size when using extrusion rheometers. If not for determining absolute viscosity values (e.g. for comparative measurements on various grades) the choice of instrument should be dictated to some extent by what the data are to be used for. Is yield behaviour important for the application?  If for extruding, then use and extrusion method. Concrete slurries have been measured using vane type rotating intruments: this overcomes to some extent the lkubricating layer effect as the vane moves through the bulk but can literally dig its own path through the material on subsequent rotations. CAP2000+ Brookfield viscometer would suitable, the instrument is suitable for determining viscosity using small quantity of oils, semisolids like cream and ointment etc

Be sure it will! The first question is: why will you measure the viscosity when your sample is semisolid? This implies that you are only interested in the flow of your sample, which can be fully characterized by an inclined plane test. Knowing the density of your sample you only need a set square and a watch to determine its yield stress and viscosity. An interesting way of characterizing these types of samples is the use of DWS microrheology; this novel technique measures the motion of the particles in your sample and calculates the frequency depended rheological properties G' and G''. A great advantage of DWS microrheology is that the measurement are contact less via a laser beam such that the sample can be sealed in a glass cuvette. This allows the study of sensitive gel-type of samples over an extended time. Moreover, it is very fast: typically you can measure the full frequency spectrum in about 2 minutes.
