Thanks a lot Monyer. Do you know anyone who owns this inventory or some place (government of Yemen, etc.) where I can access some inventory of the species of the Socotra archipelago, in case this inventory exists?
I know a certain number of publications on the biodiversity of the Socotran Islands (including some books on plants and on fauna and flora in general), but I don't know if there is a complete register of all the species recorded there. In the excellent book ETHNOFLORA OF THE SOCOTRA ARCHIPELAGO, of A. Miller & M. Morris (2004), you can find a very good illustrated key and list of all the vascular plants of the archipelago. On the other hand, there are several (more or less recent) papers on the local avifauna, published in the journal SANDGROUSE, in which you have a complete list of the resident and migratory species.
The following book summarizes the knowledge on vegetation and flora of Socotra and provides a list of the vascular plants, bryophytes, and lichens of Socotra:
Brown, G. & Mies, B. (2012): Vegetation ecology of Socotra. - Plant and Vegetation 7. Springer Science & Business Media, 379 pp.
But a complete inventory of all species of plants and animals appears not yet available.
I attach three papers in pdf I found in my files on terrestrial vertebrates of Socotra, two of them on breeding birds and one about reptiles. They include actualized lists (with comments) of the species of these groups of animals in the main island (Socotra) or the whole archipelago. I hope they can be useful for your research.
There is an excellent diaporama on Socotra (in French), besides numerous books on the Island, including reports of entomological trips by Dr Canu (Charaxes balfouri) in "Alexanor" , monthly publication by French entomologists.
I know also a good film on a Frenchman technical assistant in the program of improving tecniques on beehives for "Socotra honey" .
I have some bibliographic references in my database but I do not have the papers with me.

More papers on the biodiversity of Socotra, which I found in my files. I hope they can be useful and interesting...
By the way, anybody knows how is the present situation in this island? Is it possible to take a flight from mainland Yemen? I have heard something about the impossibility to go to Socotra from the usual airport in Yemen. Is it true?
With a compilation of the previously mentioned sources, can be evaluated a pretty realistic inventory. Concerning plants, with probably 20 species published during the last decade, the total number can admittedly be: ±900 spp.

As Dr. Hita Garcia mentioned, the ant fauna of Socotra was recently published by me. The pdf is available on Researchgate.
