The waste density in the bin of ρ is needed in the equation provided in the paper above and it is something that cannot be estimated or collected.
Let us make it simple. If you have waste generation rate of a particular area in terms of kg/person/day or
Kg/household/day, this will help you to calculate total weight of total waste per day.
Next you need density data Kg/m3
Will have volume of the bin
Covert the weight in to volume by using equation d=m/v ..... v=m/d
d=density
v=volume
m= mass

Also it depends on population density and container utilization factor, Frequency of collection, topographical features of the area.
Simply, establish a relationship between numerous factors suggested above and apply any of prediction regression model.
