There have been informal discussions and surmises, but a serious study with appropriate controls to cancel out extraneous factors is called for. The fact that vegetarians seem to be a small minority in the world as a whole poses some challenge. The fact that they are geographically concentrated in some parts of the world also poses a challenge.

Diedederik Stapel postulated an association between eating meet and antisocial behavior. Years after, they discovered that the study was a fraud.

I can't recall the paper, but there is evidence suggesting that there is an increase in violence around slaughterhouses - it might not be exactly what you are looking for. James Aspey has talked a lot about this.

So far, I haven't come across rigorous and controlled scientific findings in this area. Only arguments, prejudice, personal experiences and common sense have been flying around. These call for a well-designed and multidisciplinary study, for "common sense never give sense" anymore!
