i need a validated tool to assess the gaps and barriers experienced by a particular population to access healthcare. it is for the health needs assessment. i have been searching for some time now but still could not find one. any one any help please?
Hello! Basically, you have asked two completely different thing - Gap in access and Barriers to Access. Barriers to access can be identified by analyzing two types of data - demand side barriers and the supply side barriers. Most of the researchers rely on binary dependent model to analyze such kind of data.
Gap, i.e., the mismatch between actual demand and supply can be measured from a suitable data on access. It is known as unmet demand/need in health care literature.
