In most of the cases I found that the middle layers of VCM do not gain significant strength like the top and bottom layers. One possible explanation could be reduction of VP with depth and another could be higher surcharge in the bottom layers. But is there any other concrete reason?

As far as I understand from the question, we are talking about compaction of bulk layers consisting of various materials by vibrating machines in the construction of engineering structures. The response is in the attachment.

By VCM I meant vacuum consolidation method sir, and the word VP is vacuum pressure in this context. Thank you very much for your response.
