in ICSI as well as in IVF cycles the internal estrogen production is usualy satisfactory. Some problems may be with the endometrium transformation in case of using estrogen antagonists (such as clomiphene citrate) for ovarian stimulation, because antagonists can influence the endometrium response to estrogens.

Recently I found that estrogen priming may increase progesterone receptor expression in endometrium then it may response better to proesterone as luteal phase support.

There is too many studies that have looked on oestrogen  as a luteal phase support in addition to progesterone in IVF&ICSI cycles, non of them have found any evidence of benefit from that, so don't use !
