Thanks Dr. Issam. I have seen this article. But what I am looking at is a score to predict risk in a suppose healthy populatio, so that same can be used for screenin.
Mitasha, yes that can be done. I was exactly thinking on these lines only. But we have to use a different pathway for establishing and validating the score.
'...what I am looking at is a score to predict risk in a suppose healthy population.'
Several articles offer plausible TB risk scores based on non-invasive measures. However, these risk scores should be adapted to the population where it will be implemented. The handiest risk predictor is the rate in the target population. Risk will increase as we get to know more about the individual's profile. Including information such as weak or proper nutrition, immunological status, Diabetes or other associated coexisting morbidity, HIV, having resided in a region or country with a high rate of transmission, family history of TB, crowded household, contact with a person diagnosed with TB , etc. You can use the evidences resulting from studies like the one shared above. Thus, using combinations of factors identified in those studies and creating new adapted scores.
