The revised version underwent a pilot survey followed by a reliability test after a validation process employing face and content validity. Cronbach's Alpha is one of the options for measuring the reliability of a scale for a tool like a Likert Scale. What about a tool with questions/items on a nominal scale?

If you had multiple nominal indicators for measuring a set of groups, you could potentially use latent class analysis to determine the reliability of classification through latent class assignment probabilities. The average latent class assignment probabilities are conceptually similar to reliability measures in measurement models for continuous latent variables. However, this would require having more than one item/measure for a given nominal latent (class) variable.
