I have a cheap current/charge meter, kcx-017, to measure the full discharge of a battery connected to a raspberry pi. I intend to reduce the current delivered to the raspberry turning off some resources that this device has and then measure its consumption in mA and mAh. Therefore, I notice a weird situation. As lower the current is lower is the battery capacity. Is that correct or is my meter a junk?
Have you changed the way you charge your battery at all?, through your meter? For Li-ion batteries, undercharging by a small percentage can negatively Impact your total capacity. A 0.2% undercharge can result in a 2% reduction in total capacity, 1% undercharge can result in around 7% drop.
No, I did not. To achieve a fair comparison between different scenarios I have always charged the same battery for 16 hours after its full discharge.
