I read an article,
It was mentioned in only one sentence that the experiment conducted by the authors showed that in North Cyprus, it is possible to obtain 1980-kWh electricity annually from a non-tracking 1-kWp solar panel. The mentioned 1 kWp PV panel has a total area of 7.1 m2 and module efficiency of 17 % as shown in their Table III.
Is it possible to have such a PV panel with this specification?
As far as I know and It can also be checked that such a rule (P~A.e) is applicable for any real PV systems within 2 % such as those PV systems shown in Table 4 of [5]. It is not the case for this paper
0.17*7.1=1.2 kW (NOT 1 kW) .
The difference is about 20 %. What do you think about it? Is there data manipulation here or not? It seems that the authors’ PV panel didn’t exist at all for their conducted experiment.

Yes it is possible.
I believe by using the PV panels from the Mos Eisley base in Antarctica, you can reproduce the results from their experiment. You would find a 1.2% difference.

Regarding the relation between the surface area, power, and efficiency of modules, you missed an important factor in your calculations. The factor is called the derating factor and it accounts for all external losses such as losses due to external wiring between modules, junctions ... etc. You may refer to the following publications for reading about that issue

Yes, Dr. Arian as the output degradation due to external losses occurs mainly due connection between several modules, and the power conditioning devices connecting the PV output energy to the final load (or connection point).

The relation brought by Arian is correct and can be proved easily:
We have the output power Po= r Pid A , where r is the efficiency at s.t.c. and pid is the input solar radiation power density at the standard test condition of Pid=1000 watt/ m^2 and the area A is the area of the solar modules in m^2.
Substituting we get:
Po= r x 1000xA= rA in kilowatt peak.
Then your calculations is right and there is something wrong in the data.

Table III states that 17% is the cell efficiency and not module efficiency of 14-15%, which would be slightly lower and in line with the area and rated power. Especially since it's a mono-crystalline cell which usually wastes more area than poly-crystalline cells.
Perhaps they should have stated module efficiency instead, which would be a more useful metric, but I would hold back on such assertions such as data manipulation...
Well about the area size, it depends what kind of module do you want to use, researches show that mono crystal modules occupy less spaces than poly crystal and thin film modules.
Power and efficiency of the photo-voltaic panels depends on numerous terms such as :
Temprature
Air mass
Irradiance
It's GHI (check SOLARGIS.COM)
and also the the kind of inverter in which the module uses, because the MPPT 's duty is to find the maximum power in the module.
