There is no a clear diagnostic criteria for neonatal autonomic seizures and major part of neurologist think that is necessary a positive ictal eeg in the posteriore cortical area.

What I think is Dithiothreitol. As it is water-soluble and does not form a precipitate. But, the thing is it contains sulphur which is quite hazardous to aquatic animals.
