Allen's interval algebra describes relationships among intervals and is often used for temporal reasoning, for a brief intro, see here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen%27s_interval_algebra

This algebra only describes relative positions of intervals , but does not quantify them. Does anyone know of an extension that allows parameterization? For example, instead of saying "X takes place before Y", I could say "X takes place before Y within 15 seconds".

Thanks,

Sven
