Urban Planning has been traditionally planned for urban regions and micro sub regions which primarily consists of land use or land utilization plan. One the other hand the transportation corridors are developed before or after the land use plan have been made. To what extent the land use confirms with the needs of transportation corridors. This can be railway routes (including metro, LRT etc) or road routes (like arterial city roads, expressways and freeways). In some context the land use does match with the corridors but most of the cases there is negative impact on the existing land use which gives way for the appropriate land use. Whether there is feasibility of land use planning by corridor authority or vice versa? The main objective for the research is to reduce the conflict and encourage sustainable land use and transportation.
