Yes indeed. In my opinion Big Data analytics is going to be the future for business intelligence system as there will be array of data in different format., which need to be streamlined into information and action.

I think that the synergy between the development of Business Intelligence and Big Data processing systems depends of level of development of technological culture in each company and whether this company uses different sources of information (structured and unstructured) for decision making processes. As each company moves towards an integration of different sources of information for decision making, the synergy between business intelligence processes and the use of Big Data increases. However, if the organizational and technological culture of companies is not focused on decision making based on multirelational data sources, this synergy could be reduced dramatically.
