Most Western universities use a standard set of questions and allow faculty to add tailored questions from a large list. For postgrad education, you might want to use something more tailored - attached an example.

Estimado Hung, me permito explicarte que  es difícil señalar que tipo de evaluación para cada cual curso universitario le recomiendo una lectura de mis publicaciones  en RG las técnicas e instrumentos de evaluación en el nivel superior, ademas le puedo señalar algunos documentos importantes o manuales de evaluación en el nivel superior.

nosotros nos identificamos en la Rede De Pedagogía Reflexiva de la Universidad de Barcelona y practicamos experiencias de evaluación autentica que significa evaluar los desempeños de los estudiantes . en el  nivel universitario, se requiere la formación de especialistas, por lo tanto existen diferentes tipos de saberes que debemos identificar que los estudiantes han logrado aprender de ahí que en las etapas del conocimiento simple se deben utilizar técnicas de evaluación objetivas como pruebas tradicionales, en la medida que la carrera va avanzando se requiere que el estudiante logre demostrar con evidencias de conocimiento y evidencias de productos a través de demostraciones, seminarios, proyectos, actividades del contexto personal y profesional, entonces recomendamos utilizar técnicas como problemas, estudios de casos, investigaciones, ensayos, investigaciones, entre otros, y ademas, utilizar instrumentos como escalas y rubricas para evaluar estas técnicas donde el estudiante demuestra realmente aprendizajes significativos, relevantes y pertinentes.

The course/instructor evaluation tool, that is used in my university, is to let all the students of each course answer some general questions concerning the instructor first & then the course. Each student cannot receive his grade until filling that on-line form. I do not recommend this method because students, who expect failure in the course, will not be fair. Add to it, most students are not in a position to evaluate,e.g. an experienced old instructor. Of course, an instructor who gives many (As & Bs) will be the best in their eyes.

I have suggested, repeatedly, that the best evaluation of course/instructor can be achieved if  successful graduates are asked (e.g. the best 5-10 students each year). This way, one can count upon maturity & neutrality in judgment.

I believe that the answer lies with the individual instructor’s comfort level with being in the crosshairs.    There is security in employing generic assessment and student survey instruments. They only imply what the student may have learned and how the feel about the experience. For the emotionally secure, I suggest employing pre and post testing in order to assess what value, if any, has been added by the combined efforts of the instructor and each student. I have found that aggregating these data provides a marginally more detailed mosaic of performance.  Further, showing the individual student how far they have come can be very powerful.
