We have what we call Business Teachers Education. This course is under the College of Education. Graduates of this course are to become teachers in junior high schools in subject called Technology and Livelihood Education. Students are taught the basics of accounting, use of computer and other equipment that the students may use when they get to work in an office environment even without getting to college. But for faculty members in general, we do not have such course. We do have seminars though that expose teachers on use of technology as teaching tools. I presented two papers that introduce two innovations in teaching using softwares and social media.

Apple runs its training in-house, year round. The full-time faculty — including instructors, writers and editors — create and teach the courses. Some faculty members come from universities like Yale; Harvard; the University of California, Berkeley; Stanford; and M.I.T., and some continue to hold positions at their schools while working for Apple.

Yes, but these courses which are part of the curriculum, are found mostly in our education degrees. To other degrees like business and engineering, we offer short term trainings we call seminars-workshops.
