I know that the human eye is a complex system but I would like to know if there are or if is it possible to create a camera which can simulate the human eye in terms of focusing the objects and with a wide field of view (not necessarily the whole field, but at least some 80/90º of FoV). The idea is to be able to capture a big area of image focused at the same range as we can. The center vision would be the more essential to reproduce, but it wouldn't need to be as high resolution as the eye, only to be sensitive at focusing the same way.

Which would be the best optical system, lens, sensor or camera to do it?
