It is rathe a silly question than a filosofical one!

I have a X gene. And I want to know its expression in the brain.

So, I have two brains (B1 and B2).

B1 is the whole brain.

B2 are parts of the brain for instance frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, and temporal lobe.

If I sum the Xgene expression of B2 would it represent the Xgene expression in B1?
