There are several indexes to evaluate the researching quality of a researcher used nowadays and the RG score is one of them. Recently, I have seen that this index is a common index which has been observing by many researchers. However, it is still a controversy problem and is still not clear whether this index is really good and reliable index. I want to ask this question to get more information regarding this concern. I am very much appreciated your knowledge sharing.
Somehow I have doubt about this also, the way to calculate this score is not clear so far, and the algorithm is not presented as I have not seen it available. Thanking you for this comment.
It may be one factor among many. A researcher's quality of work may be gauged by other parameters like the number of citations and/ or publications in ISI and prestigious journals.
There is no reliable indicator of the assessment and evaluation of scientific research works, not even awards. Some research takes a long time to gain its appreciation and citation, as well as many works of art, world paintings and musical pieces, which were given real value after the death of their owners
