May computerization of communication alter quality by distancing the subjects, sending brief texts and the back and forth needed for understanding the messages. Will the texting continue enough for clarity, or stop at assumptions. I believe the effect is reductive and may be polarizing. A series of bald “policy” statements can be made and coming to an understanding depends on the back and forth of instant messaging which was meant to shorten the time and attention spent in the first place. Gone are auditory and visual cues.
