By using c=mG'+e1+e2, the McEliece cryptosystem keeps some error correction capacity. This makes it can be used on the noisy channel so that the failure rate of decryption will be decreased. Here, e1 is the error correction vector, e2 is the noise. However, someone say that this is meaningless. They think that the failure rate caused by channel noise is not the consideration of this research. It can be resolved by using error correction encoding on data link layer. I am puzzling that should i continue to do this research. How do you think about this question? Thanks very much !
