It is well known that the characteristic ratio can be used for the analytic calculation of end-to-end distance and the gyration radius of a polymer with a Gaussian coil structure. The characteristic ratio is dependent on molecular weight and will approach a constant value when the molecular weight has become very high. I am just curious if this ratio is related to the density of a polymer as well. If so, is there any equation describing such a relationship?

Thank you for the answers. In fact, this question is just something in my mind when I read about the derivation of the end-to-end distance of a Gaussian coil. It is well known that this characteristics ratio depends on the molecular weight. And it can be calculated using the bond angle and the mean torsional angle. Experimentally, this ratio can be measured using small angle neutron scattering data.
